Permanent Resident Card

Overview

Since June 2002, all permanent residents seek to re-enter Canada on a commercial carrier (airplane, boat, train or bus) are required to use the Permanent Resident Card to proof their status as a permanent resident in Canada. If you become a permanent resident before June 28, 2002, you need to apply for the Permanent Resident Card. This wallet-sized plastic card is valid for five years and you are required to replace an expired, lost or stolen card. You can only get the Permanent Resident Card in Canada.

Please contact our office should you have any questions regarding your eligibility and the procedures for applying for Permanent Resident Card.
